Getting ready for a beach vacation?
As a travel advisor who travels to the beach frequently - scoping out destinations and resorts on my clients' behalf - I've learned some cool little tricks along the way that I'm excited to share with you!
Beyond the standard items like your stylish swimsuit and chic sunglasses, these are clever travel accessories that seasoned travelers, like me, recommend bringing along with you to minimize common inconveniences and make things that much easier while you’re traveling.

I don’t know about you but I feel like there never seems to be enough hangers available in the closet at most resorts.
Sure, you can always ask for more, but I love the idea of bringing your own lightweight (12 of them weigh less than a pound) collapsible hangers so you’re ready to roll right away when you want to unpack your stuff.
I’ve found that the number of outlets in a resort room can often be limited and/or located in strange places that are either hard to access or just too far away to use.
Having a power strip that has an extension cord and multiple prong plug-ins plus multiple USB ports solves all of these problems.
This one might sound a little odd at first, but trust me, you’ll thank me later.
These suction cup hooks are lifesavers when you have a bunch of wet stuff you need to hang up to dry. You can stick them on the walls in the bathroom and voilà, you suddenly have plenty of places to hang up your wet swimsuits.
What if I told you that you didn't have to waste anymore of your precious vacation time searching for your room key?
Combining these two accessories together makes for a super handy way to keep track of it.
Just slip your room key into the badge holder and then clip it onto your beach bag.
Easy-peasy lemon squeezy, no more hunting for the ever-elusive room key!
If you’re like most people, you’re probably going to do at least a little bit of shopping while you’re on vacation. Having a handheld baggage scale like this will save you from the unpleasant surprise of added fees at the airport for an overweight bag. And, bonus, this particular scale has a velcro strap instead of just a metal hook which often gets bent.
Clever, right? Now that you've got these tricks up your sleeve, you're all set and ready to enjoy a relaxing, hassle-free vacation!
